Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Product Manager to lead end-to-end lifecycle management for market-leading life sciences portfolios. You will partner with R&D, operations, marketing, and sales to translate customer needs into product requirements and commercial strategies.

You will conduct VOC research, develop business cases, coordinate product launches, and drive continuous improvement with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in life sciences or related field.
  • Proven success across product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization.
  • Experience in flow cytometry or related life sciences product areas.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with customers and cross-functional teams.

DESCRIPTION

As a Product Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to innovation and growth for our market-leading product portfolios while enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You will manage end-to-end product lifecycle management, from strategy development through commercialization and optimization. Working in a collaborative, global matrix organization, you’ll partner with R&D, operations, marketing, sales and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products that solve customer challenges. You’ll conduct voice-of-customer research, define product requirements, develop business cases, coordinate product launches, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers meaningful impact and visibility, with opportunities to shape product direction through data-driven insights and strategic thinking.

This is an onsite position.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related life science discipline.
  • Proven success in product lifecycle management, from concept through commercialization
  • 5+ years of experience in flow cytometry, with demonstrated expertise in spectral flow cytometry, conventional flow cytometry, or cell sorting.
  • Hands-on experience operating flow cytometers and/or cell sorters in research, core laboratory, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Experience with product management, marketing, scientific applications, field applications, technical sales, or commercial support within the life sciences industry.
  • Strong understanding of multicolor panel design, fluorophore selection, compensation, spectral unmixing, and experimental workflow optimization.
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and commercial strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience engaging scientific customers, key opinion leaders, and commercial teams.
  • Experience developing and executing product launch strategies and go-to-market plans
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management skills to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Customer-centric mindset with deep understanding of market dynamics
  • Up to 30% travel required, including international
  • Knowledge of relevant scientific/technical domain preferred for specific product lines
  • Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements for applicable markets
Compensation And Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Colorado is $103,100.00–$137,500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
