Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Colorado is seeking a Product Manager to drive end-to-end lifecycle strategy from concept through commercialization. You will partner with R&D, operations, marketing and sales in a global matrix to deliver innovative, customer-centered products that address health, safety and environmental challenges.

You’ll conduct voice-of-customer research, define requirements, build business cases, coordinate launches and implement continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MS/PhD preferred in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related life science discipline.
  • Proven success in product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization.
  • 5+ years of experience in flow cytometry with expertise in spectral/ conventional flow cytometry or cell sorting.
  • Hands-on experience operating flow cytometers and/or cell sorters in research or biotech/pharma settings.
  • Experience in product management, marketing, scientific applications, field applications, technical sales, or commercial support in life sciences.
  • Strong understanding of multicolor panel design, fluorophore selection, compensation, spectral unmixing, and workflow optimization.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with scientific customers and commercial teams.
  • Experience developing and executing product launch strategies and go-to-market plans
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management to coordinate multiple initiatives
  • Customer-centric mindset with understanding of market dynamics
  • Up to 30% travel, including international
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for markets in scope
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for applicable markets

DESCRIPTION

As a Product Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to innovation and growth for our market-leading product portfolios while enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You will manage end-to-end product lifecycle management, from strategy development through commercialization and optimization. Working in a collaborative, global matrix organization, you’ll partner with R&D, operations, marketing, sales and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products that solve customer challenges. You’ll conduct voice-of-customer research, define product requirements, develop business cases, coordinate product launches, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers meaningful impact and visibility, with opportunities to shape product direction through data-driven insights and strategic thinking.

This is an onsite position.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related life science discipline.
  • Proven success in product lifecycle management, from concept through commercialization
  • 5+ years of experience in flow cytometry, with demonstrated expertise in spectral flow cytometry, conventional flow cytometry, or cell sorting.
  • Hands-on experience operating flow cytometers and/or cell sorters in research, core laboratory, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Experience with product management, marketing, scientific applications, field applications, technical sales, or commercial support within the life sciences industry.
  • Strong understanding of multicolor panel design, fluorophore selection, compensation, spectral unmixing, and experimental workflow optimization.
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and commercial strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience engaging scientific customers, key opinion leaders, and commercial teams.
  • Experience developing and executing product launch strategies and go-to-market plans
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management skills to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Customer-centric mindset with deep understanding of market dynamics
  • Up to 30% travel required, including international
  • Knowledge of relevant scientific/technical domain preferred for specific product lines
  • Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements for applicable markets
Compensation And Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Colorado is $103,100.00–$137,500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
