Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking an Assistant Product Manager for Protective Coatings to drive growth across a global portfolio. The role partners with R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, and Technical Services to develop business cases, coordinate launches, and optimize pricing and profitability.

The position entails on-site work at Brecksville, OH or Minneapolis, MN with up to 20% travel and a bonus incentive plan based on performance.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in research and development, project management, product management, portfolio management, marketing, technical services, or business development.
Experience within coatings, construction materials, industrial products, specialty chemicals, or powder chemistry.
Experience leading cross-functional projects and product launches.
Knowledge and experience with industrial coatings and chemistry
Experience in multinational or matrix organizations

Responsibilities

Manage the Functional Coatings and Pavement Marking portfolio through all stages of the lifecycle.
Identify portfolio gaps and prioritize investment opportunities.
Develop portfolio roadmaps for respective segments and monitor profitability.
Lead SKU rationalization and product portfolio optimization initiatives.
Coordinate product testing, certification, and regulatory activities.
Lead launch planning and post-launch performance reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, and Technical Services.
