K. L. Scott and Associates is seeking an AI Product Manager & Project Manager. This role provides executive-level product and delivery leadership for the AI chatbot program. This role owns product strategy, delivery execution, and stakeholder outcomes while managing a multidisciplinary team and coordinating across security, data, engineering, and client leadership. Ensures iterative delivery of usable capability with clear performance metrics, stakeholder alignment, and production readiness from pilot through scaled operations. The ideal candidate will reside in or within commutable distance to Washington DC.

  • Lead agile delivery cadence (sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning) and remove delivery blockers.
  • Establish and maintain governance artifacts (decision logs, product intake, prioritization criteria, and change control).
  • Coordinate status reporting, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communications; ensure transparency of risks and mitigations.
  • Define and monitor product performance metrics (adoption, satisfaction, latency, containment, response quality, and mission impact).
  • Partner with security and technical leadership to embed risk mitigation into product requirements, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.
  • Drive transition from pilot to production, including training approach, adoption plan, and continuous improvement cycles.
  • Support the development of a target architecture for the chatbot, including secure data flows, knowledge sources, indexing strategy, and model interaction patterns.
  • Support the definition of data models, metadata standards, and governance practices that support traceability, auditability, and secure handling of sensitive content.
  • Establish evaluation methods (baseline tests, quality metrics, gold datasets, and monitoring thresholds) to measure and improve chatbot performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and integration teams to ensure environment, access controls, and telemetry support AI workflows and operational analytics.
  • Architect reusable patterns for modular expansion, enabling additional domains or functions to be onboarded efficiently over time.
  • Experience operating in security-conscious environments with disciplined documentation, change control, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Support the harvesting and refinement of solutions for internal KLSA product portfolio.
  • Ability to operate with minimal management oversight and maintain compliance in alignment to project requirements.
  • Ability to engage with, collaborate, and present to executive stakeholders (CFO), technical leaders (CDO), and mission leaders (Division Directors).
  • Maintain professional execution of project delivery while engaging with executive presence at all times.
Qualifications:

  • Prior delivery of AI, analytics, or data-driven products in secure or regulated environments (chatbots, search, knowledge assistants, or decision-support tools)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance eligibility (or comparable clearance) as required by the engagement.
  • Experience with project delivery in Federal Agencies which utilize secure networks, systems, and products.
  • Preferred experience with financial management, programmatic spend analysis, executive storytelling through data & analytics.
