Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Analysis, Statistics or Product Manager role.
  • Ability to understand large, unstructured data sets.
  • Understanding of data modeling and modern software architecture styles.
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical/communication skills; able to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience in understanding and improving complex processes.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.

To achieve this goal, Delta’s Retail Strategy is toconsistently offer, sell, and service high quality personalized products in thecustomer’s channel of choice.

Delta’scurrent system of record for purchases limits how we deliver and serviceenhanced product offerings. To solve this problem, Delta is creatinga new system of record that requires a robust and flexible order data model.The order management data model will serve as the source of truth for allproducts sold and attributes of products needed to fulfill and service for thecustomer. To guide this effort, the Enterprise Solutions (ES) team is seeking a Product Manager - Order Data. The ProductManager will collaborate on designing, delivering, and maintaining proprietary dataproducts that result in the improved ability to sell and service products forDelta Air Lines. The role partners across Delta and vendors to identifyopportunities, define requirements, provide insights, prototype products, anddeliver end-to-end solutions.

We arelooking for candidates who have a passion for data, are motivated by solvingproblems, exhibit curiosity to understand current processes, and can thinkcreatively to identify solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to determinerequirements for order data.
  • Work with business and IT partners to translate businessrequirements into usable and reliable data solutions.
  • Analyze and use data to guide development roadmaps.
  • Drive implementation of data solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Communicate progress to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Maintaina pulse on industry efforts, disruptive technologies, and champion solutions tofurther Delta's position as industry leader
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • At least 5+ years of workexperience in a Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Analysis, Statistics orProduct Manager Role.
  • BA/BS or advanced degree in aprocess or project management discipline such Economics, Statistics, DataAnalytics, Engineering
  • Ability to understand large,unstructured data sets.
  • Understanding of data modelingand modern software architecture styles.
  • Demonstrates intellectualcuriosity as well as sound analytical and communication skills; ability tocommunicate at all levels
  • Shown success in understandingand improving complex processes.
  • Capable of managing multipleprojects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Focused on results and canprioritize competing interests with seemingly disparate goals.
  • Uses data to quantifyproblems, identify trade-offs and develop solutions.
  • Communicates in a timely,accurate and effective manner.
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position

  • Is at least 18 years of ageand has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
  • Experience in building orleading data design in a Retail capacity
  • Relevant working experience inRetail Order Management, Booking, Ticketing, Business Intelligence and DataAnalytics.
  • PNR, Order, Booking and/orTicketing knowledge
  • Experience in at least onecommercial or operations function such as Reservations, Airport CustomerService, eCommerce, Revenue Management or Sales
  • Knowledge of revenuemanagement theory or airline systems/data
