Job Summary

NetApp is seeking a Product Manager to join our product management team. The ideal candidate will have successfully managed Unified storage for block and file workloads, focusing on midrange and entry systems. This role requires a proven track record in effective product management teams and collaboration with global R&D.

This individual will report to the Senior Director of Product Management and work closely with Product leadership, Sales, TME, Procurement, Marketing, Engineering, and Support teams to define and execute a compelling product strategy within the fastest-growing segment of NetApp's portfolio.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions

1. Define and execute product vision, strategy, and business plans, including roadmaps and requirements.
2. Provide market insights through analytics and research.
3. Gather and evaluate product and market requirements via customer research, competitive analysis, and industry engagement.
4. Collaborate with R&D to translate market needs into innovative technology.
5. Influence cross-functional teams to bring products to market for on-premises and cloud deployments, including CAPEX, OPEX, and consumption-based models.
6. Manage pricing strategies, work with supply chain, procurement, and vendors to optimize margins and reduce costs.
7. Prioritize product requirements to support multiple release phases.
8. Resolve blockers independently and escalate major issues proactively.
9. Coordinate with Engineering and Sales for BETA testing with end users.
10. Translate system functionalities into business-relevant language.

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• 8+ years in product management.
• Experience with hardware product management focusing on Midrange and Entry systems.
• Knowledge of server, networking, and storage technologies relevant to data centers, including FCP, iSCSI, NVMe, SMB, NFSv3/NFSv4, S3, SATA, SAS, RAID, and erasure coding.
• Understanding backup and disaster recovery architectures for SAN and NAS.
• Willingness to handle technical issues and work hands-on with products.
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build or utilize tools for BOM, sizing, and pricing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across geographies and functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred.

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Jira.
• Hands-on experience provisioning storage devices.
• Deep knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, DPUs, PCIe, NVMe, SSDs.
• Ability to analyze and solve ambiguous problems with attention to detail.

Travel requirements: 15% to 25% of travel expected.
