The Product Manager for IT Platforms leads the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for the platforms and infrastructure that support our business applications.This role is responsible for driving initiatives that strengthen our cloud infrastructure and improve our security, development, and monitoring toolsets.This role partners closely with product management peers and stakeholders to translate the need for secure, reliable and maintainable applications into prioritized platform and infrastructure initiatives with clear value, scope, and outcomes, ensuring teams remain focused on the highest-value work. While primarily focused on future roadmap and pipeline planning ( 80%), the role also supports in-flight delivery by clarifying requirements, refining scope, and maintaining stakeholder alignment and communication.Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:Build deep partnerships with business leaders to identify pain points, opportunities, and measurable outcomesMaintain an 18-month roadmap and a 6+ month ready backlog aligned to business priorities and capacityLead end-to-end business case development, ensuring clear value (ROI), defined scope, and approved prioritizationBalance feature delivery with technical investment (reliability, scalability, modernization)Own requirements clarity, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder alignment across all initiativesProvide clear, consistent progress and roadmap reporting, enabling informed stakeholder decisionsDefine and track success metrics for delivered outcomesDrive prioritization trade-offs based on value, risk, and capacityEnforce intake, prioritization, and funding governance processes to ensure alignment to portfolio prioritiesTechnical Knowledge and Understanding:Strong written communication skills for technical and executive audiences (C-suite)Practical experience with Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban)Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, layered security and development/monitoring toolingDemonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teamsDemonstrated habit of continuously teaching themselves new skills, with clear examples of recently applied learningDeep understanding of Azure and AWS clouds, development tools and pipelines, security preferredExperience:Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)3+ years in product management within Agile environments3+ years driving cloud and/or security initiativesExperience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)Experience using AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve productivityExperience working in a regulated industry (insurance, financial services, healthcare) preferredApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over work authorization sponsorship now or in the future for this position.#LI-Hybrid-At Core Specialty, you will receive a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
