Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking a motivated Product Intern to support Interpretation and Translation products. This internship provides hands-on experience with the products and workflows behind Propio’s services, from intake to delivery.

You'll learn how services are delivered through our platform, work with MT, AI, translation memory, and QA processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in one of the listed fields.
• Minimum GPA is not specified, but high performance is favored.
• Proficiency in English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Product team on interpretation and translation initiatives.
• Learn how services are delivered and how Propio’s products support users.
• Assist in analysis of MT, APE, and AQE outputs for quality review.
• Summarize findings and identify patterns to improve quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations to apply findings.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and curious Intern to join our Product team supporting Interpretation and Translations products. This internship provides hands‑on experience with the products and workflows behind Propio's interpretation and translation services. On the interpretation side, you will learn how services are delivered through our platform and how we support interpreters and clients. On the translation side, you will focus on delivering high‑quality translation products leveraging machine translation, AI, translation memory, linguists, language localization, vendor tools, and more. Across both, you will gain exposure to how work moves through each workflow, from intake to delivery, and how quality is measured, reviewed, and improved along the way.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Product team on interpretation and translation initiatives
• Support interpretation products by learning how services are delivered and how Propio’s product supports interpreters and clients
• Support analysis of MT, APE, and AQE outputs, comparing machine output with edited output for translations products
• Help organize and summarize findings so the team can identify patterns and opportunities to improve quality
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations team members to understand how quality findings are used
• Participate in team meetings and share observations and recommendations

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Linguistics, Translation or Interpretation Studies, Languages, or a related field.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
• Proficiency in English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus, but not required
• Strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to apply guidelines consistently and explain the reasoning behind your assessments [Confirm: tied to quality review duties]
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Interest in language services, AI, and localization
• Prior internship or relevant coursework is a plus, but not required
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status
