Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of the South, Inc. dba Upbring is seeking a Product Management Intern in Austin, TX. You will assist the product manager, engineers, and stakeholders to shape roadmaps, define requirements, conduct research, and support delivery.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.

• Familiarity with software development concepts and product lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to identify opportunities.
• Partner with engineering teams to understand technical constraints and prioritize features.
• Support product discovery activities, including customer interviews and usability testing.
• Analyze customer feedback to identify trends and propose solutions.
• Help maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, and documentation.
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Review designs and suggest improvements in user flows and wireframes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Mission in Action

As a Product Management Intern, you will work closely with the product manager, engineers, and stakeholders to help shape product roadmaps, define requirements, conduct research, and support product delivery. A strong technical foundation is important, and experience with UX/UI design principles is a significant plus.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Product Management, Business with a technical focus, or related field
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams
• Familiarity with software development concepts and product development lifecycle
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• This position will not be required to travel

• This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time
