Job description

Description
The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a Product Management Intern to support the execution of digital products that enable and advance the business. Ulteig defines digital transformation as the deliberate use of digital technologies to modify or create business processes and customer experiences, while enabling organizational culture in response to evolving market conditions, customer insights, and business needs.

This role supports the translation of business needs and internal user insights into well-defined problems, lightweight requirements, and clear deliverables, under the guidance of a Product Manager. The intern will contribute across the product lifecycle, with an emphasis on discovery support, backlog hygiene, documentation, and Operations. Success in this role is measured by the intern's ability to learn quickly, produce high-quality artifacts, and support delivery teams and stakeholders with clarity, organization, and follow-through.

What You’ll Do
Product Discovery & Problem Framing
  • Support problem discovery: Help gather and synthesize stakeholder and internal user input (interviews, observation, surveys, ticket review) to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Help validate problem statements: Assist in organizing data and feedback, so the team confirms the "problem" before jumping to solutions.
  • Document workflows: create simple process maps, current-state narratives, and "what's working/what's not" summaries.
Product Execution & Delivery
  • Backlog and story support: Draft feature descriptions, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation (with PM review), and help maintain backlog organization and prioritization inputs.
  • Requirements and artifacts: Help produce and maintain product artifacts such as lightweight Product Requirements Document, journey maps, and release notes.
  • Release support: Assist in coordinating communication and validation steps for releases (training notes, stakeholder updates, documentation updates).
Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Basic metrics tracking: Help monitor product adoption and performance using dashboards, spreadsheets, and defined KPIs; summarize trends for the PM.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify small, practical process improvements in how the team captures requests, documents decisions, and shares updates.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Schedule and support working sessions, capture notes, track action items, and help keep teams aligned.
  • Clear communication: Draft status updates and simple "what changed / why it matters" messages for internal users.
Team Contribution & Growth
  • Learn the craft: Build foundational skills in product thinking, agile delivery, and business services operations through hands‑on work and mentorship.
  • Contribute to culture: Show curiosity, ask great questions, and support an environment of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Disclaimer: Additional duties may include tasks beyond what is listed, such as special projects, assisting colleagues, or new initiatives. A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support team efforts enhances collaboration and growth opportunities.

What You’ll Learn
  • Core product management practices across discovery, delivery, and operations.
  • How digital transformation initiatives are scoped, prioritized, and delivered in a business services environment.
  • Practical experience translating business needs into product artifacts and actionable requirements.
  • How to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Exposure to agile practices, operational metrics, and continuous improvement methods.
What We Expect from You
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and follow through in a dynamic environment
  • Interest or exposure to digital transformation, product management, project/program management, or agile practices
  • Comfort documenting requirements, workflows, and process improvements (a plus)
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on results, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
