Job summary

PEER Chain & Sprockets in Illinois invites a Product Manager to guide the product line from concept through profitable execution. You will define pricing, manage inventory, analyze markets, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, sales, QA and marketing to drive growth and profitability.

The position requires up to 40% travel domestically and internationally; when not traveling, work on site at headquarters in Waukegan, IL.

Qualifications

• Formal mechanical engineering background is required.
• Proven experience in the chain industry.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Product Management, Application Sales/Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Experience with Metal, Machining, and Manufacturing Processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical knowledge of the product line.
• Analyze competition and market opportunities.
• Promote PEER brand to the sales team.
• Lead product development and evaluation for growth.
• Define market requirements to position the product as Best in Class.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on specs and tolerances.
