Hydraulic Technologies is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead strategy, growth, and lifecycle management for an industrial hydraulic portfolio. Based in Rockford, IL, you will work with engineering, sales, operations, supply chain, marketing, and executives to drive profitable growth.

You will own front-end innovation, develop business cases, lead stage-gate activities, and shape pricing, positioning, and commercialization plans to hit revenue and margin targets. Travel 25–40%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience in industrial markets.
• Experience managing products through full lifecycle from concept to retirement.
• Go-to-market strategies and new product launches.
• VOC programs and market research.
• Industrial distribution and channel management preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic tooling and related products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop rolling 3-year strategic roadmap for the HT portfolio.
• Define portfolio growth strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead portfolio prioritization and investment decisions.
• Manage products through full lifecycle from concept through end-of-life.
• Conduct portfolio analysis to improve profitability and focus resources.
• Establish portfolio KPIs: revenue growth, gross margin, market share, new product vitality.
• Lead VOC initiatives to identify unmet customer needs and market gaps.
• Develop market assessments (TAM, SAM, SOM, trends, regulatory factors).
• Monitor industry trends across HT markets (MRO, power, oil & gas, wind, mining, data centers).
• Identify emerging applications and adjacent growth opportunities.
• Build competitive intelligence, benchmarking, and win/loss analysis processes.
