Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management, or a related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience with machine learning solutions and technologies, or platform solutions and tools.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives involving multiple product teams.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams including policy development, operations, feature teams, and a Trust and Safety capacity or adjacent.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning and detection, setting policies and compliance, understanding of systems and platforms, or knowledge with APIs.
  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.

By detecting classical adversarial behavior, you will enforce against bad actors before they can inject harmful content and cause viewer harm on the platform. Additionally, you will analyze emerging risk vectors and shape product road maps to advance our safety initiatives.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your expertise in Trust and Safety, adversarial abuse, or fraud prevention to protect YouTube's creators and community.
  • Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth. Launch new products, features and controls based on machine learning technologies, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
  • Work with partner teams (e.g., Engineers, Program Managers, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements to turn Product Requirements Documents into Objectives and Key Results for one or more teams.
  • Advocateabuse resilience and influence partner teams to incorporate this principle into product design to minimize abuse incentive.
  • Stay ahead of emerging abuse trends. Define product roadmaps by operationalizing strategy and developing innovative solutions.
