Job summary

Kraken is seeking a product leader for its Compliance FIU investigation platform. The role focuses on how alerts become cases, how investigators reach decisions, and how evidence is preserved for regulators.

You will start with the FIU, where workflows are most complex, and extend the platform across Compliance Operations while working with engineering to build auditable, AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management, including 2+ years on financial-crime systems such as transaction monitoring, investigations, case management, KYC/EDD or sanctions screening.
• Knowledge of AML examination questions from regulators, internal audit and model validation.
• Ability to work with data flows and system design with engineers, spotting design flaws.
• Track record of shipping internal tools or operations platforms that changed how an operations team works.
• Clear, concise writing from PRDs and phase plans to audit walkthroughs and executive updates.
• Judgement to flag unrealistic timelines when requirements aren’t written yet and manage stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Own the investigation-platform roadmap end to end and defend it; re-sequence when needed by regulators or the RCO.
• Define done before build starts; write phased deliverables and acceptance criteria for Compliance.
• Capture requirements before engineering; align policy, monitoring rules and case management to investigators' workflows.
• Understand and articulate process vs technical fixes; decide scope for engineering involvement.
• Explain the pipeline: ingestion, profiling, transaction resolution, suppression, and case management."
• Ensure auditability: audit trails, data lineage, evidence retention, reviewer attribution, change controls.
