Job summary

Milliken and Company in Appleton, WI is seeking a Global Product Manager for Encapsys to drive growth through cross-functional collaboration with fragrance, phase change and carbonless market segments. The Global Product Manager will work with leadership to develop objectives, build business cases, and expand programs with customers by linking technology to market needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead relationship-building with customers and develop new methods for driving target markets.
• Develop and leverage trust-building relationships with customers.
• Develop technology, marketing, and sales plans with pricing strategies.
• Support the development of customer agreements, pricing, and service relationships.
• Support development and execution of the Fragrance strategic plan.
• Lead portions of the Fragrance Strategy Deployment.
• Manage project communications, including meetings, calls, weekly reports and presentations.
• Quarterly updates to price lists with attention to detail.
• Liaise with Price Owners for quarterly price updates.
• Collaborate with Finance and Product Line Managers to maintain global forecasts.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain on order status.
• Work with Technical/Development teams on TSRs and development items.
• Partner with Legal to facilitate Supply Agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documentation.

POSITION TITLE

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is expected to drive business results and achieve growthobjectivesthrough program expansion in current Fragrance,PhaseChangeand Carbonlessmarket segments. TheGlobal Product Manageris expected to work closely with the Director and other members of the business unit leadership team to achieve strategic goals of the segment.TheGlobal Product Managerwillparticipatein developing and executingthe businessobjectivesand plans for the growth of the company.

Theincumbentmust have the strategic capability and experience to lead successful programs and projects with customers through collaborationwith all functions. They should be skilled at connecting technologies and capabilities with market needs, as well as building business cases and execution plans that deliver growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead relationship-building with customers (especially decision makers and top-to-top relationships) and develop new methods for driving target markets. Develop andleveragetrust-building and personal relationships with customers.

Ensure development of technology, marketing, and sales plans that are professional, disciplined andleveragetechnical superiority, data-based pricingstrategiesand other methods to gain dominant market share.

Support the development of customer agreements (i.e.confidentiality, development, supply, quality, etc.), pricing, andrelationshipsservice as a key contact and relationship owner.

Support development and execution of the Fragrance strategic plan.

Lead assigned portions of the Fragrance Strategy Deployment effort.

Manage project communications, including meetings, conference calls, weeklyreportsand presentations.

Quarterly updates to price lists with attention to detail

Liaise with Price Owners to support quarterly price updates.

Collaborate with Finance and Product Line Managers tomaintainglobal forecasts throughout the year.

Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain on order status and facilitation.

Work with Technical/Development teams on TSRs, development items, and related activities.

Partner with Legal tofacilitateSupply Agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED

Technical degree in Chemistry, ChemicalEngineeringor related field

5+ years of relevant experience and sales experience

A high energy leader, with experience working with global, cross functional teams is preferred anda great senseofownership: ‘it’smy business’ mentality

External bias, with experience interviewing customers and other experts inmarket placeto uncover key insightsrequiredto develop sound marketing strategies and data

Ability to function in a hybrid role combining market strategy work with field validation (business development)

Know how to be strategic with value proposition positioning and drive to meet financial targets
