Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Product Manager to help build a new generation of AI-powered cyber defense products. You will partner with security practitioners, researchers, engineers, designers, and customers to turn emerging model capabilities into practical products that solve real defensive problems.

This early-stage role spans discovery, prototyping, evaluation, development, launch, and iteration, translating opportunities into clear, usable, and trustworthy experiences for defenders.

Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise or cybersecurity products.
• Ability to translate complex security and model capabilities into product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand high-value defensive workflows and opportunities for AI to improve outcomes.
• Shape products from concept through prototype, launch, and iteration.
• Translate security and model capabilities into clear product requirements and intuitive UX.
• Collaborate with research and engineering to connect model improvements with use cases.
• Develop Codex-based workflows for defenders to investigate and test security content.
• Work with partners on integrations and early deployments.
• Define measures of product quality: accuracy, usefulness, safety, adoption, analyst efficiency.
• Establish safeguards for permissions, auditability, and tenant isolation.
