Job summary

HUD is seeking a Product Manager to own the data marketplace product, enabling vendors to onboard and publish RL environments and data, while helping research teams discover and access assets. You’ll collaborate with engineering, research, GTM, and operations to translate complex needs into practical, scalable workflows.

The role emphasizes product discovery, prioritization, and data-driven decision making in a fast-paced startup environment with opportunities for cross-time-zone collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a live software product from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Ability to simplify technically complex workflows for users.
• Experience talking directly with users to identify the problem and turn learnings into priorities.
• Ability to balance user needs, business impact, and engineering constraints when making product decisions.
• Comfort using qualitative feedback and quantitative signals to assess product changes.
• Clear written communication and ability to align engineers and partners in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the marketplace product lifecycle, from understanding vendor and buyer needs through prioritization, launch, and iteration.
• Improve how vendors onboard, submit work, understand quality feedback, and manage offerings on HUD.
• Improve how research teams discover, assess, and access environments and training data that meet their needs.
• Work with engineering, research, GTM, and operations to translate complex requirements into reliable platform workflows.
• Define and track measures of marketplace health, product adoption, and user experience; inform what to build next.
