EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc.

JOB TITLE: Product Manager

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:

Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Duties include:

1. Own, maintain, and prioritize the product development cycle from the roadmap to the delivery and planning of future enhancements;
2. Share the product vision and work closely with the Business Owner, Program Management and Scrum Master to ensure the team delivers value to the business;
3. Evaluate effective product solutions based on the tools Optum uses for Analytics, in different data delivery models;
4. Plan, coordinate and manage product development and enhancement projects across Master data management team initiatives;
5. Develop a project plan, budget, and schedule based on client requirements;
6. Ensure traceability between requirements to Features to user stories;
7. Create business user stories in Rally and document the project in Wiki, Confluence or SharePoint sites;
8. Partner with Scrum masters in supporting Scrum Framework through daily standups and ceremonies;
9. Share and decompose features into user stories for each PI, sprint;
10. Develop product models and plan to achieve corporate revenue growth;
11. Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needs;
12. Work closely with Product Management to represent capabilities and features at a team and Program level;
13. Accountable for the business requirements, the product backlog, and the prioritization of user stories with team members;
14. Periodically re-prioritize the product backlog based on customer feedback, market changes and business priorities;
15. Review test cases against user stories acceptance criteria;
16. Formally accept the front-end user stories once all acceptance criteria are met and demo-ed;
17. Update clients about changes of project status and any road blockers on a regular basis;
18. Coordinate product demos to customers;
19. Maintain solid working relationships with customers and identify new opportunities for product growth;
20. Review current technical development proposals and user cases for new and current products;
21. Address customer and employee concerns promptly through weekly and one-on-one meetings;
22. Provide strategic direction to Scrum team under area of responsibility on what priorities impact Company revenue growth;
23. Ensure that products meet quality standards and customer requirements across different areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires one (1) year of experience in the following:

• Product Management;
• BI Testing;
• Agile;
• Scrum;
• Data Warehouse design;
• Data Mining.

RATE OF PAY:

$99,910 - $148,451 / per year
