The Opportunity

The Product Manager will lead the strategic planning and execution for a portfolio of specialized pet health products. This role requires strong analytical competencies to drive market expansion, optimize product performance, and ensure data-backed decision-making. This individual will collaborate closely with veterinary professionals, sales teams, and internal/external stakeholders to enhance brand positioning and customer engagement.

Main Responsibilities

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of strategic plans that optimize sales, market share and revenue growth for a brand or set of brands in the short and long term.
  • Provide high level data analysis of potential brand opportunities utilizing insights from market research, industry trends, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and understanding of therapeutic areas to develop data-driven marketing strategies with return on investment, adjusting strategies based on analytical insights.
  • Strong ability to navigate and lead change, ensuring smooth transitions during product updates, regulatory shifts, or market disruptions.
  • Manage both operations and implementation of brand strategies as well as the execution of all 6Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement, POP, Protocol) for the brand.
  • Drive consistent execution of product strategies with internal and external cross functional teams.
  • Serves as the Voice Of the Customer (VOC) by capturing the requirements/feedback from the customer (Veterinarians, Consumers, Retail Partners) and deliver best-in-class programs that meet the customer's needs/wants.
  • Develops customer/channel specific marketing strategies by leveraging knowledge of all customer marketing channels and co-promotion partners to add market and brand value.
  • Gather feedback from the sales, corporate accounts, and retail teams to better understand how customers use the product line and identify which SKUs, collateral, or educational materials may need to be added or removed.
  • Coordinate the development of market research to identify opportunities for increased penetration and growth of existing products, including competitor analysis.
  • Help manage the marketing budget to ensure that financial targets are achieved.
  • Participate in key national and regional veterinary conferences, helping to coordinate activities and maximize the value gained from these events.

  • Exhibit strong written & verbal communication skills along with excellent presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated organization, planning & project management skills along with solid decision making & negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects & prioritize effectively.
  • Show agility with a proven ability to develop and evolve strategic & tactical elements based on research data & industry trends.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Entrepreneurial drive with proven track record of achieving financial and other quantitative goals.
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment.
