Job description

Product Manager

Department: Product

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: San Francisco

Description

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join Recentive, working with customers and engineers to ensure our products and analytical solutions meet and exceed client needs. You’ll play a pivotal role in defining and prioritizing product requirements, driving collaboration across teams, and delivering impactful solutions for our enterprise partners.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Storytelling: At the end of the day, you understand products are only as valuable as what our customers get out of them. You can combine multiple inputs, balance and prioritize objectives and take decisive action when needed to ensure our products continue to deliver for our customers everyday. Once that’s done you help us get that message out to the world.
  • Defining the Roadmap: You leave your ego at the door and don’t want to build new features because they are ‘cool’ or ‘cutting edge’- you thoughtfully prioritize and execute what’s needed and know that our customers tell us every day if we’re on track with their adoption, usage and partnership growth.
  • Creating a Culture: You understand the necessity of transparency, ownership and experimentation to deliver best in class products. As an early member of this team, everything you do will help set the course for our tomorrow.
  • Data Centric Decisions: Your decisions must be rooted in data and objectivity. From closely monitoring usage data, user journeys and beyond, data is at the heart of our process. Beginning with testing and through new releases, through KPIs, reporting and listening to users- you will keep your finger on the pulse of the impact of everything we do.
  • User Driven: You meet users where they are and understand their pain points, nuances, workflows and aspirations. User feedback and market research isn’t a job for someone else- it’s your job and central to our success. What you do empowers the next wave of our development and more importantly the next wave of what our customers will do next with our products.
  • Enabling Connectivity: You will work across departments and with customers serving as a key nexus point across our ecosystem. You understand that truly impact product development only happens when everyone is working toward a common goal with clear expectations and constant communication.
What We’re Looking For
  • High Integrity + Clear Communication: You know that trust and reliability are paramount in working successfully internally and externally and align that belief with every interaction.
  • Pragmatic Leadership: You may not be an engineer, but you are focused on delivering solutions for customers with a mindset rooted in data and objectivity. You don’t spend your days in meetings nor creating processes that only help you- you minimize overhead and maximize results.
  • Track Record of Success: You have a proven history of going from hypothesis to testing to implementation that’s had measurable impact. You’ve worked closely with go to market teams and in lock step with customers. If you’re doing it right a product manager can be a sales engineer without thinking twice.
  • Self-Directed: You can work through ambiguity, collaborate across functions, and make thoughtful decisions without needing every detail. Moreover, you create clarity from ambiguity and help the rest of the team know where to focus and when and help us answer the most critical questions around priority, necessity and impact.
  • Enable others: You take ownership and responsibility for your work while empowering the broader team to do the same. You understand that you don’t need to come up with every answer or piece together every detail at all times but instead to empower others to thrive and be the quarterback when needed.
Why Work at Recentive
  • Impactful Work: Our technology and products directly shape operational strategies at leading sports teams and leagues, broadcasters, and other key players in the live events ecosystem.
  • Forward Thinking: Design and build forward-thinking analytical solutions that blend creativity and engineering—leveraging advanced algorithms, optimization, and machine learning to solve complex, real-world challenges.
  • Collaborative Culture: We’re a growing, tight-knit data-centered team that values knowledge-sharing, learning, and innovation.
  • Growth & Ownership: Shape your career as a technical leader while helping build next-generation analytical tools from the ground up.
