Qualifications

• 7+ years in product or project management, governance, or platform engineering.
• Experience with Developer Platforms, DevSecOps, or cloud-native initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and governance controls.
• Ability to translate security and compliance requirements into delivery plans.
• Cross-functional leadership across Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Risk, and Compliance.
• Excellent program management, documentation, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Translate security, compliance and engineering standards into clear requirements, epics, and user stories.
• Partner with Platform Engineering, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Risk and Compliance to align on requirements and dependencies.
• Create and maintain playbooks, onboarding guides, operating procedures, and compliance docs to align teams with standards.
• Monitor compliance, adoption, risks and control gaps; report findings and remediation progress to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement of the governance framework based on audits and evolving requirements.

Position Description

Systemone is seeking a Product Manager to own and evolve the compliance framework for a developer platform operating in a cloud native, security conscious environment.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between technical platform teams and governance/compliance functions, and who's comfortable translating complex requirements into actionable delivery plans.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you'll translate security, compliance, and engineering standards into clear, prioritized requirements, epics, and user stories that guide platform teams. You'll partner closely with Platform Engineering, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Risk, and Compliance to align on requirements, resolve dependencies, and coordinate governance activities across the organization. You'll build and maintain playbooks, onboarding guides, operating procedures, and compliance documentation that help engineering teams stay aligned with platform standards. A core part of this role involves monitoring compliance, adoption, risks, and control gaps, then reporting findings and remediation progress to stakeholders and leadership. You'll also drive continuous improvement of the governance framework based on audit findings, feedback, and evolving regulatory or security requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• 7+ years in product/project management, product ownership, technology governance, or platform engineering
• Background supporting Developer Platforms, DevSecOps, or cloud native engineering initiatives
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and security/technology governance controls
• Proven ability to turn security, risk, and compliance requirements into practical delivery plans
• Experience leading cross functional work across Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Risk, and Compliance teams
• Strong program management, documentation, and executive reporting skills

Desired Skillset:

• Familiarity with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), Backstage, or developer portals
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, software supply chain security, or policy as code
• PMP, Product Owner, or similar certification

Educational Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
