Position Description

The Product Line Profitability Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial health and strategic growth of our product portfolios. This role is responsible for analyzing costs, pricing frameworks, and margin targets to support our trajectory as a growing global enterprise. The Analyst will integrate these financial metrics into the sales quotation process, conduct deep-dive variance analyses, and provide actionable profitability reporting to leadership. Additionally, this role serves as a key financial partner by participating in and preparing analysis for the monthly Product Price & Material Cost Review alongside Product/Commercial and Supply Chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Profitability Analysis & Reporting
  • Drive profitability analysis on a global basis across all data center products and key customer accounts.
  • Develop, implement, and prepare standard, recurring reporting to track the financial performance and margin health of the product and customer portfolio for executive leadership review.
  • Lead quarterly product line profitability reporting and conduct regular variance analysis to assess performance against financial targets.
  • Isolate and analyze direct margins (Price/Revenue - Materials - Labor) to eliminate overhead noise and evaluate true transactional performance.
• Strategic Costing & Financial Frameworks
  • Analyze product line standard and actual costs and baselines across all operations, utilizing internal and external peer analysis and normalized overhead adjustments to support the formulation of competitive pricing frameworks and target margins (gross and direct).
  • Contribute to setting granular margin profiles and targets by specific product line to reflect unique ratios of labor, material, and overhead, ensuring all products meet acceptable minimum profitability thresholds.
  • Assess customer profitability against product-specific targets.
• Product Price & Material Cost Governance
  • Assess and communicate the impacts of material cost changes, supply chain fluctuations, and inflation on the overall product portfolio.
  • Prepare and own critical deliverables for the monthly Product Price & Material Cost Review, including:
    • Material Cost Changes:Analyzing key commodity trends, supplier adjustments, and BOM-level impacts.
    • Margin Bridge Analysis:Comparing standard versus current costs and evaluating price-versus-cost deltas by product and customer.
    • Execution Tracking:Monitoring active pricing actions in-flight and tracking actual realization against plans.
  • Assist in identifying margin risks (e.g., underperforming products, contract price recovery restrictions) and partner with commercial teams to support actions such as temporary/permanent price increases, surcharges, and cost-mitigation strategies.
• Commercial & Quotation Support
  • Support the sales quotation and commercial processes by preparing holistic financial analysis that factors in cost, price, and inflationary trends to safeguard margins.
  • Support the integration of standard costing and margin targets directly into the sales quotation process, evaluating new program bids and sales quotations to protect enterprise financial goals.
  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Management to investigate variances, identify operational root causes, and support the implementation of continuous margin improvements

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Finance or related field.Minimum 2-3 years of Finance or Data Analysis experience.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in ERP systems (SAP and Visual a plus).
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Excel and willingness to leverage AI tools.
• Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally in a global environment.
