About Us

Master Builders Solutions is a global brand of advanced chemical solutions for construction. Our comprehensive portfolio includes sustainable concrete admixtures and underground construction solutions. We constantly strive to solve tomorrow’s challenges through our talented people, sound science, innovation, and communication with our global partners. We provide new solutions to satisfy industry demand for specific structure strengths while understanding the need for sustainability and environmental consciousness.

Role Overview

This role manages a portfolio of concrete admixtures designed to improve durability, long-term performance, and resistance to environmental and material-related deterioration. The Product Line Manager serves as both the technical and commercial lead for these technologies, shaping strategy, guiding product development, and supporting market adoption. You’ll combine market insight with a practical understanding of concrete performance, mix design effects, durability mechanisms, and industry standards. This role translates customer and specification needs into product improvements, supports field teams with technical guidance, and ensures the portfolio evolves to meet competitive and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with R&D, Sales, Technical Services, Supply Chain, and Marketing is central to success in this role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Product line strategy and growth plans: Design and execute comprehensive product line strategies by positioning offerings, developing value propositions, and establishing technology roadmaps. Lead the process of securing approvals for annual marketing plans and spearhead the identification of new business opportunities.
  • New product development: Function as the team leader for cross‑functional new product and/or solution development projects. Coordinate the development of integrated project plans and business cases for new product introductions. Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with market needs, cost targets, and performance benchmarks.
  • Product launch: Lead the end‑to‑end product launch process, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and execution of launch strategies. Oversee the communication of key product features, positioning, and value to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Sales and marketing communications: Collaborate with the Communications Manager to design marketing campaigns, create promotional materials, and ensure development of high‑quality sales tools. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and seminars to promote the product line and its benefits.
  • Partnerships and value‑added programs: Establish and manage strategic partnerships that enhance the product’s market presence. Design value‑added initiatives that differentiate the product offerings and provide additional value to customers.
  • Sales development and sales training: Support product‑based sales development and training. Develop, distribute, and at times deliver product‑based customer value propositions required to drive sales.
  • Supply chain linkages: Collaborate with supply‑chain teams to forecast demand, monitor product availability, and optimize inventory policies. Ensure customer requirements are met through effective supply chain management.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Construction Management, or a related technical field is required.
  • An advanced degree (MBA, MS) or specialized training in construction or engineering‑related fields is preferred. Additional years of experience would be considered in lieu of advanced degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction or concrete admixture industry, with a preferred focus on sales, marketing or research/development.
  • Experience with concrete durability, cement chemistry, or performance testing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in leading cross‑functional teams in a technical environment is an asset.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of concrete behavior, durability mechanisms, admixture interactions, and relevant standards (ASTM, ACI, AASHTO).
  • Analytical mindset with experience evaluating performance data, market trends, and cost structures.
  • Able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Effective communicator with solid presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, Salesforce, and data tools is a plus.
  • Customer‑focused approach and a strong sense of practical application for performance‑driven products.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a history of successfully managing product or project teams.
