Job summary

Symetri seeks a Product Lead to own strategy, priorities, and success for an assigned product area within its Technology Unit. You'll work with customers and cross-functional teams to identify needs, define direction, and deliver measurable value, with an initial focus on Naviate MEP, Fabrication, Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing solutions.

The role emphasizes deep customer discovery, roadmap ownership, and collaboration across Development, UX, QA, Marketing, Sales, and Support to drive impactful

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in AEC, MEP, fabrication, BIM, VDC, construction technology, design technology, or related software.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or fabrication workflows.
  • Experience leading software products from discovery through launch and ongoing improvement.
  • Ability to translate customer challenges into product priorities and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy, priorities, and roadmap for the Naviate MEP portfolio.
  • Lead customer discovery through interviews, demonstrations, advisory groups, and testing programs.
  • Collaborate with Development, UX, QA, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver solutions.
  • Prioritize backlogs based on customer value and business impact.
  • Define and monitor product metrics, KPIs, and success measures.

This is a fully remote position.

ROLE

The Product Lead is responsible for the strategy, priorities, and success of an assigned product area within Symetri's Technology Unit. This role works closely with customers and cross-functional teams to identify customer needs, define product direction, and deliver solutions that create measurable customer and business value.

The initial focus will support the Naviate MEP product portfolio, including MEP, Fabrication, Electrical, HVAC & Plumbing solutions. Product responsibilities may evolve based on business and customer needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and communicate product vision, goals, and priorities.
  • Translate customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives into product outcomes.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap.
  • Make informed trade-off decisions based on customer value, business impact, and delivery considerations.
  • Define and monitor product metrics, KPIs, and success measures.

Customer Discovery & Product Development

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows and challenges within AEC, BIM, MEP, and fabrication industries.
  • Engage regularly with customers through interviews, demonstrations, advisory groups, and testing programs.
  • Lead product discovery efforts to identify, validate, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Use customer feedback, market insights, and product data to guide decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to validate ideas and deliver impactful solutions.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Development, UX, QA, Product Specialists, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams.
  • Provide clear priorities, goals, and customer context to the product team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, continuous improvement, and shared ownership.
  • Communicate product plans, priorities, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years of experience in AEC, MEP, fabrication, BIM, VDC, construction technology, design technology, or related software.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or fabrication workflows.
  • Experience working with software products, technology organizations, or product development teams.
  • Ability to translate customer challenges into product priorities and outcomes.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional and global teams.

+

  • 5+ years of product management, product ownership, product strategy, or related experience.
  • Experience leading software products from discovery through launch and ongoing improvement.
  • Knowledge of customer discovery, product roadmaps, backlogs, OKRs, KPIs, and product analytics.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Revit, BIM, Naviate, MEP design, fabrication, electrical, or HVAC workflows.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
