Crate and Barrel in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Product Lead for B2B sales to shape offerings for hospitality, offices, and turnkey projects. You’ll collaborate with merchants, sourcing, planning and sales to translate client needs into strong product briefs.
With 2–4 years in product management or merchandising, you’ll drive cross-functional initiatives, manage timelines, SKUs and vendor follow-ups, and gather market insights to close gaps in the assortment.
Support product development initiatives tailored for business and commercial clients. This role will collaborate closely with merchants, sourcing, planning, and sales teams to coordinate product opportunities that meet the needs of industries such as hospitality, restaurants, corporate offices, furnished rentals, trade professionals and corporate gifting.
Support Product Development
Assist in creating and managing product briefs that translate B2B client needs into clear direction for sourcing and merchandising teams.
Help coordinate timelines to ensure new product launches align with B2B sales opportunities and client deadlines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with sourcing, planning, and merchants to track progress on B2B-focused products (e.g., contract-grade furniture, corporate gifting, bundled kits).
Communicate updates between sales and product teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
Market & Client Insights
Gather feedback from sales, account managers, and clients on product performance and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct research on industry trends and competitive product offerings to help identify gaps in the assortment.
Operational Support
Assist in managing consolidated shipment opportunities such as "kitchen kits" and "whole home kits" designed for furnished rentals and turnkey solutions.
Work with planning teams on product forecasts and inventory needs specific to B2B clients.
Create and manage SKUs.
Follow-up with vendors and ensure timely delivery of product either to consolidation point or direct to client.
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and balance competing priorities.
Interest in commercial design trends, product development, and client-driven innovation.
