Job summary

FTSi.Tech seeks a hands-on Application Specialist to join the Product Inspection team on a 12-month temporary assignment at the Tewksbury site. You will support the Demo Lab, run customer tests, and help translate requirements into test plans and solutions.

You will collaborate with applications engineering, sales and product management to document results, provide technical input, and drive demonstrations and product development activities in a busy lab environment.

Qualifications

• Technical background in engineering, applied science, instrumentation, automation or related field.
• Experience in technical/lab/applications environment.
• Strong hands-on technical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into testing or technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document technical work and communicate results clearly to stakeholders.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple testing requests.
• Strong collaboration and communication in cross-functional settings.
• Comfortable working independently in a hands-on laboratory.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of the Product Inspection Demo Lab.
• Plan, prepare and execute customer and internal tests and demonstrations.
• Translate customer requirements into test plans and equipment configurations.
• Analyze results and provide technical findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales for opportunities and solutions.
• Support product development activities and test documentation.
• Maintain testing records and relevant technical information.
• Coordinate test priorities and lab activities for turnaround time.
• Ensure equipment is available, configured and ready for testing.
• Share knowledge and documentation of application expertise.
• Work with cross-functional teams on technical issues and improvements.
