Job summary

Trafilea is a Consumer Tech Platform enabling transformative brand growth. We are building an AI Growth Engine and scale globally loved DTC brands with a 100% remote team.

We seek a 4+ year software engineer with strong Node.js/NestJS backend and React/Next.js frontend skills. You’ll own API design, cloud infrastructure on AWS, and contribute to system architecture while delivering high-quality, scalable software.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js/NestJS or comparable tech.
• Strong frontend experience with React and Next.js.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, E2E).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern workflows.
• Experience with observability and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable technology solutions to support growth and Trafilea Engine.
• Develop new capabilities and improve existing systems, focusing on internal APIs and infrastructure.
• Write clean, maintainable code for high-scale environments.
• Identify technical debt, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Improve system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Contribute to technical planning, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
• Ensure strong observability through logging, monitoring, alerts, and debugging.
• Document technical solutions to enable cross-team collaboration.
• Help shape backlog and align technical decisions with product priorities.

Job Responsibilities

You’ll work alongside talented engineers and cross-functional teams to design and build high-quality software while continuously improving the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems.

You will:

• Design and build scalable technology solutions that support Trafilea’s growth and the evolution of Trafilea Engine.

• Develop new capabilities and continuously improve existing systems, with a strong focus on internal APIs and infrastructure.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code designed for high-scale environments.

• Identify technical debt, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks, and implement solutions to address them.

• Improve system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.

• Contribute to technical planning, architecture discussions, and code reviews, helping raise engineering standards.

• Ensure strong observability through effective logging, monitoring, alerting, and debugging practices.

• Document technical solutions clearly to enable effective cross-team collaboration.

• Help shape the backlog and connect technical decisions and KPIs with product and business priorities.

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development, with strong Full Stack experience building and maintaining production-grade applications.

• Strong backend development experience with Node.js / NestJS or comparable technologies.

• Strong frontend development experience with React / Next.js.

• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with solid experience designing and developing REST APIs.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-based environments.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability patterns, performance optimization, and system reliability.

• Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, modern development workflows, and engineering quality practices.

• Experience with observability and production systems, including monitoring, logging, debugging, and identifying technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
