Job summary

Tether is seeking a Product Engineering Lead to drive the Keet initiative, building scalable features on a P2P stack and leading API and frontend teams. You’ll set engineering standards, guide architectural decisions, and partner with product leaders to shape the roadmap for distributed, consumer-focused products.

You will mentor leaders, ship high-impact features, and ensure alignment with the company’s vision of private, fast, and scalable digital interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years leading consumer software engineering teams.
• Experience shipping features at global scale in chat/social apps.
• Strong product judgment and collaboration with PMs.
• Familiar with distributed/local-first architectures and CRDTs is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead API and frontend teams day-to-day, removing blockers.
• Set high engineering standards for performance and reliability.
• Own technical design of features and API surfaces.
• Collaborate with deep-tech teams on code reviews and design.
• Partner with product managers to translate vision into scoped work.
• Mentor team leads and cultivate strong operating systems.
