Job summary

Century Arms, Inc. in Florida seeks a Senior Manager, Product Engineering to lead design, testing and release of new products and enhancements.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Operations, product management, and suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and expand the product portfolio. The role requires deep experience in mechanical engineering, project leadership, and DFMA/ GD&T methods, with a focus on scalable production and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or extensive experience and demonstrated ability as an Engineer.
• Minimum of ten (10) years in new product development in a manufacturing environment.
• Program/project management experience required: leadership role preferred.
• Extensive experience in various manufacturing processes including but not limited to: castings, metal injection molding, plastic injection molding, machining, forgings, and additive manufacturing.
• Extensive knowledge of CAD (Solidworks preferred) with FEA and functional expertise in the application of GD&T.
• Experience in Firearm Manufacturing and Product Development.
• Self-motivated with good written and verbal communications skills; ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.
• Ability to lead and function in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization.
• Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the research and development team to conceive, design, develop, test, validate and release to production new products while supporting and improving all existing product lines.
• Work with business development, product management, and marketing teams to implement and advance the strategic product direction for the company.
• Mentor and grow the research and development team; maintain a positive work environment.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and manufacturing on progress and issues.
• Lead product development lifecycle from need identification to launch and ongoing management.
• Oversee process definition and improvement for product development lifecycle, requirements, workflow, and NPD stage gates.
