Job summary

MACOM Technology Solutions is seeking a Product Engineering Intern to support the release of RF & microwave semiconductor products into mass production. You will work with Design, Test, Applications, Marketing and Reliability teams to develop test plans, analyze data and ensure production readiness across locations worldwide.

The intern will gain hands-on experience, receive training, and present project outcomes at a poster session, while collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Generate production tests plans to verify product performance
  • Design/analyze RF & microwave test boards for automated test equipment
  • Set up and perform lab RF measurements
  • Conduct measurement systems analysis (gauge R&R)
  • Analyze data using sound statistical methodology
  • Perform yield analysis and hold meetings of the project team to review the findings
  • Ensure all aspects of product manufacturing, including hardware, documentation, BOMs and costing are in place for the production release of a product
  • Ensure new product introduction is successful and on schedule

Product Engineering Intern
Job Description

As a Product Engineering Intern at MACOM Technology Solutions, you will be a key team member of the Product Engineering team responsible for the release of a diverse portfolio of RF & microwave semiconductor products into mass production. The Product Engineer’s role includes the development of production tests plans to verify product performance, the design and debug of RF test boards for automated test equipment and the statistical analysis of data using sound statistical methodology in order to set test limits and datasheet specifications. To accomplish these tasks, the Product Engineer will interact closely with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Applications, Marketing, and Reliability Engineering to analyze and resolve issues, as they relate to sample, pre-production and full production release of a product. You will work with internal and offshore test facilities to release products to production. A candidate for this position should be a US person, working towards an Electrical Engineering degree and be able to collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines at different geographical location worldwide.

  • Be given an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals

  • Attend and present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls
