Job summary

NSK Steering Systems America (NSSA) is seeking a Product Engineer B/C to design and develop steering column assemblies and intermediate shafts to meet customer requirements. You will apply standard EPS designs and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and NPDS/APQP processes are followed.

• This job requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and up to 1 year of related experience; 1–2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes design inputs to assess feasibility for intended application.
• Applies applicable customer, internal, federal, and industrial standards to designs.
• Maintains knowledge of in-house, supplier, and customer processes to ensure design compatibility.
• Prepares design specifications for each application.
• Issues design documents to support APQP/NPDS activities.
• Coordinates development, sample builds, and validation testing of designs.
• Provides design support to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Offers VA/VE ideas to help meet cost targets.
