Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking an experienced Product Engineer for the Secure Products Group.

The role focuses on New Product Development and sustaining engineering for cryptographic hardware across automotive, IoT, medical, consumer and industrial markets. You will collaborate with Product Design, Test Engineering, Quality and Failure Analysis to deliver high quality security products.

Qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE or equivalent required.
• 2.5–5 years of industry experience.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Manager or support to a Project Manager for New Product Development and release to production.
• Own production phase for assigned products to monitor performance and profitability.
• Provide technical assistance for customer returns as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Test, Quality and Failure Analysis.
• Develop and document qualification plans and product documentation.
• Validate and characterize silicon.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem solving efforts.
