Bernard builds software that helps appliance-repair service companies schedule better. We’re hiring a Product Engineer, Routing to own tough edge cases in real-world fleet scheduling and translate lessons into product improvements.

You’ll own the scheduling engine, investigate failures, and improve how the system explains decisions to dispatchers. You’ll also lead onboarding loops for new accounts and work with customer operations to drive reliability and automation.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with TypeScript.
• Experience across backend systems and product surfaces.
• Interest in optimization, routing, dispatch, scheduling, or decision systems.
• Good instincts evaluating system quality and replay evidence.
• Ability to translate operational pain into product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own the scheduling engine, including candidate-date generation and scheduler workspace.
• Investigate why tickets fail to schedule automatically and drive improvements.
• Improve explanations for blocked scheduling decisions for dispatchers.
• Own onboarding loop for new accounts with replay and simulation workflows.
• Build systems suggesting roster and zone changes with review steps.
• Collaborate with customer ops to debug in the field and improve the product.
