Job summary

Target in Minneapolis is seeking a Product Engineer, Organized Spaces, to develop and execute the technical development process ensuring product adherence to Target quality standards.

You will interpret designer concepts, guide products through development, and provide technical specifications for raw materials, fit/function, and construction details. Collaboration with design, sourcing and merchant teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of testing, safety and legal requirements for consumer products.
• Knowledge of raw materials and their performance.
• Strong CAD skills in 2-D/3-D.
• Team collaboration ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technical development process for Target-owned brands.
• Interpret designer concepts and guide the product through development lifecycle.
• Provide effective technical specifications for materials, fit and function, and product dimensions.
• Collaborate with design, sourcing and merchant teams to realize brand vision.
• Identify manufacturing issues and co-develop solutions with internal and external partners.

Education

Four-year degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, or related field
