Job summary

Target is seeking a Product Engineer for Organized Spaces at our Minneapolis campus. You will translate designer concepts into actionable technical specs, guide development through the lifecycle, and collaborate with design, sourcing and merchant teams to deliver manufactured products.

You’ll apply knowledge of raw materials, CAD tools, and manufacturing processes to meet quality standards while optimizing cost, fit, and function. A four-year degree and 4+ years' experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Four‑year degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in product engineering or development.
• Knowledge of testing, safety and legal requirements for consumer products.
• Knowledge of raw materials and their performance and usage.
• Strong knowledge of 2-D and 3-D CAD software packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technical development process to ensure product adherence to Target quality standards.
• Interpret designer concepts, guide product through development lifecycle, and provide technical guidance to design, sourcing and merchant teams.
• Identify manufacturing issues and co‑develop products to meet brand vision and performance benchmarks.
