This Product/Process Engineer position is with the Dallas Airfoil Repair Operation (DARO) based in Grand Prairie and or Arlington in Texas. Engineer in this position is responsible for supporting repair operations as well as working with multi discipline teams to develop new repair or process capabilities on turbine hardware using approved technical data.
What You Will Do:
Support daily operation and mitigate any issue related to engineering that includes but not limited to dispositioning discrepant material, improving productivity, expanding capabilities to enable business growth and carry out root cause failure analysis.
Analyze production data for new repair development as well as provide report to customer as required.
Review opportunities for process improvements based on experience and implement steps to incorporate such improvements.
Participate in a multi-discipline team to understand repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements in compliance with approved technical data.
Research new technology and methodologies and review scope of implementation as part of growth projects or to review machine/equipment procurement process.
Update operation sheets based on production requirement or create new ones for introducing new processes.
Represent DARO at various forums with internal and external customers.
Identify and mitigate risks and roadblocks, assist in improving logistics to delight customer.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
2 years of experience in Engineering
Qualifications We Prefer:
Knowledge of Aero Gas Turbine components, operation, design, maintenance
Previous engineering experience in Operations, Overhaul, and/or Program Management in the gas turbine industry. OR 1year of experience with an advance degree.
Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining (both conventional and non-conventional - LBMR, EDMR), metal joining processes like MGTAW and Laser welding.
Familiarity with Pratt and Whitney Repair tech data.

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
