Job description

We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer specializing in opto-electronics to join our dynamic team. The role involves overseeing the full product lifecycle, from conception to completion, with a focus on customizing legacy equipment or products to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Production Line Director to quote and scope out projects.
  • Oversee engineering work conducted by technicians and coordinate testing and troubleshooting with the Mexico facility.
  • Apply understanding of materials and physics in product development.
  • Utilize knowledge of design, CAD drawings, and IC circuits / circuit design.
  • Bring experience in product engineering and electronics.
  • Possess proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills with experience in cradle-to-grave manufacturing.
  • Have electrical knowledge, ideally with an electro-mechanical focus.
  • Be capable of debugging electronics and performing electrical testing in a lab environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical engineering with significant mechanical knowledge.

This position is based in an office environment with a lab, providing a collaborative space for testing and development activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00 / hr.
