Job Juncture is seeking a New Product Development / Design to Value (NPD/DTV) Engineer to develop refrigerated merchandisers and drive cost reduction on existing lines. The role focuses on applying value engineering, collaborating across sourcing, manufacturing, and product management, and leading DTV projects from concept through validation, with hands-on CAD modeling and testing.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in design of industrial products.
• Experience with product design and solid modeling in a manufacturing environment.
• MS Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, dehumidifier, sealed-system, airflow thermal management, or similar.
• Practical application of Six Sigma and Lean tools.
• Strong track record of NPD and DTV accomplishments.

Job description

We are looking for aNew Product Development / Design to Value (NPD/DTV) Engineer to be responsible for the development of refrigerated merchandisers, as well as cost reduction efforts on the existing product lines.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

• Apply value engineering methodologies to optimize cost position on existing products.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing Engineering to implement cost saving projects.
• Manage the DTV project from concept to completion, including scheduling and cross functional communication
• Brainstorm new and innovative solutions to achieve the product standardization and modularity.
• Develop CAD solid models and engineering simulation of proposed concepts.
• Collaborate with Product Management to validate the solution with the customer.
• Develop a test plan and work with the Engineering Lab to validate the solution.
• Conduct field tests to validate the solution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrates capability to solve difficult and complex problems

What are the basic qualifications?

• B.S. in Engineering
• 1-3 years of experience in design of industrial products

What are the preferred qualifications?

• Experience with product design and solid modeling in a manufacturing environment.
