Job summary

Chase Doors is seeking a Product Engineer to lead new product development from concept through prototype, validation, and production launch. You will work with the Director of Engineering and cross-functional teams to define scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.

Use DFMA, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement to ensure products are manufacturable, cost effective, well documented, and aligned with customer and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience creating clear, simple, and accurate instructions and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development from concept through prototype, validation, and production launch.
• Apply DFMA to improve manufacturability, cost, quality and documentation.
• Review existing product lines for cost reduction and simplification.
• Maintain design documentation (CAD drawings, BOMs, specs, installation instructions).
• Ensure designs meet customer specs, internal standards and testing criteria.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Quality and other stakeholders on scope and timelines.
