Job summary

RPM SPG is seeking a technically skilled professional for lab testing, field trials, and product development support. The role includes training field personnel, working with multiple internal teams, and managing field projects.

The candidate should have strong communication skills and be prepared for substantial travel. The position emphasizes lab work, field trials, and collaboration with product managers to analyze field failures and recommend improvements, with a focus on North America

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Proactively identify opportunities and quickly implement solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, organization and planning skills.
• Flexible and able to work in a self-directed, rapidly changing environment.
• Willingness to travel within company plants, distribution facilities, installations worldwide (North America focus).

Responsibilities

• Conduits on-going market research for Product Managers and marketing services.
• Performs laboratory, forensic analysis for field failures and product recommendations.
• Provides product and application training for sales engineers and field sales managers.
• Provides field training and project management for foreign affiliates and large/complex projects.
• Assists in new product development including lab work, field trials, commercial scale-up and field follow-up.
• Special order custom product needs and approval for experimental/discontinued products.
• Enters new product information (formula, in-process, updates, price and cost) into system.
• Maintains technical literature and creates/edits technical/promotional publications.
• Provides outside sales support and handles incoming calls and lead qualification.
