Old-Castle-Building-Envelop in Los Angeles seeks a Product Engineer II to translate customer requests into buildable engineering solutions at the crossroads of sales, estimating and shop floor. You will own end-to-end processes for your Product Group, produce BOMs and drawings, and guide production with effective technical support.

You’ll work across ERP systems, develop lightweight tools, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning, Sales, Procurement and Quality to deliver proven solutions

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in product design or development within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling/CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks).
• Working knowledge of programming logic and automation concepts (no developer background required).
• Comfort working across multiple ERP systems.
• A collaborative, resourceful mindset and sharp problem-solving instincts.

Aufgaben

• Own the full process for your assigned Product Group, end to end
• Consult on custom quotes; determine viability when outside standard system limits.
• Equip production with BOMs, methods of manufacture and custom drawings
• When not viable as-is, provide feedback and a workable path.
• Participate in Product Development to bulletproof processes from quote to production.
• Own corrective actions and ECNs for your Product Group.
• Represent area in Cross-Functional Team meetings on manufacturing issues.
• Create Green Road Documents (SWIs, PFDs, Control Plans).
• Develop system tools (Excel/ERP, light scripting) to connect processes.
• Become a go-to technical resource for Manufacturing, Planning, Sales, Procurement and Quality.
