Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer in Boulder, CO to serve in both design and sustaining engineering roles for current and new products.

You will lead product-improvement projects, test and qualify hardware, firmware and telecom components, and support manufacturing and purchasing teams with quality issues. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in EE or equivalent with 4+ years in engineering, and at least 3 years in product design/test/manufacturing, plus strong RF,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least four years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
• At least three years in product design, test and manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with vendor/contractor management.
• Knowledge of RF and portable power circuits; analog and digital electronics.
• Ability to design flex, rigid and rigid-flex PCBs.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Takes a lead role on projects to resolve quality issues and design improvements.
• Provides technical assistance to manufacturing, quality, and purchasing; manages returns and failure analysis.
• Identifies field performance issues and develops solutions to minimize them.
• Supports Sales/Marketing with technical research and customer support.
• Designs or supports hardware, firmware and telecommunications for new products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
