Job summary

Vitesse Systems in Longmont, CO is seeking a Test Engineer III to lead RF/test activities. You will collaborate with RF and Mechanical Engineers to develop test documentation, plan and execute tests, and mentor technicians and junior engineers. The role requires strong RF test experience and hands-on support across multiple test facilities.

The job emphasizes developing test layouts, procedures, and data processing methods, while ensuring alignment with customer specifications and program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related discipline.
• 5+ years minimum industry experience.
• Strong familiarity with RF test equipment and measurement techniques.
• Familiar with environmental test methods, systems, and equipment.
• Programming/scripting skills.
• Good bookkeeping and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform, and ensure the quality of RF bench, near field and far field radiation patterns, and other tests.
• Develop test requirements and verification methods with RF/Mechanical/Systems teams.
• Identify testing methods and test fixturing for risk mitigation and verification.
• Review Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports with engineers.
• Debug test issues and review data.
• Coordinate or lead test layout models and drawings with RF/Mechanical Designers.
• Generate TRR packages and support customer reviews.
• Review customer specifications for met test requirements.
• Assist with technical proposals and develop data processing methods for RF test equipment.
• Provide training and mentorship to lower level test engineers.
