Job summary

Curries, an ASSA ABLOY brand, seeks a Product Engineer to join our Mason City manufacturing facility in Iowa. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Product Engineering Manager and helps move ideas from concept to production.

You will design, develop and improve products with cross-functional teams, create CAD drawings using SolidWorks, coordinate verification and testing, document changes and support cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Mechanical preferred
• 0–3 years in sheet metal product design
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Proficiency with CAD applications; SolidWorks experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate development of new products and improvements
• Identify product improvements and cost reduction ideas
• Document product changes and maintain design specifications
• Develop drawings of new or improved designs using CAD
• Coordinate product verification and testing for internal and external certifications
• Analyze product specifications and custom requests for feasibility
• Assist with costing of new or improved products
• Provide engineering support to Drafting, Order Processing, Customer Service, Quality and Manufacturing
• Maintain a safe and harmonious work environment and ensure compliance with policies
