Summary

The Product Engineer serves as the primary customer contact for New Product Launch (NPL) activities. Responsible for all manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling to ensure that products are assembled to customer expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing activities of assigned products through prototype, pilot, and production.
  • Oversee implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change orders.
  • Actively participate in new customer development and new business development.
  • Analyze line return information to understand and drive corrective action on manufacturing process issues.
  • Perform product-level FMEAs as required.
  • Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
  • Review engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for manufacturability.
  • Evaluate and qualify new manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Lead internal and external corrective action plans.
  • Comply with and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • 4-year engineering or technical degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.

Geographical Location: Minnesota – Rochester

Physical Location: Rochester, MN

Shift: Shift 2

Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday 12:00–22:30

Compensation

Compensation Range: $71,678.00 to $89,517.00 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
