Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Product Engineering Technical Program Manager to join the FPGA BU. The role supports pre-production rollout, coordinating with Test, Package, Yield, and Quality teams to ensure smooth family rollouts and accurate forecasting.

You will interact with engineering planners, qualification engineers, marketing, and operations to drive successful product introduction and ongoing optimization. This is a US-based role with potential for travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; Master's degree preferred.
• 0–1+ years in product engineering, product planning or program management.
• Hands-on with data management tools and languages like KLA and JMP.
• Knowledge of solid-state physics and microelectronics.
• Scripting languages TCL/Perl/Python, C and C++, Visual Basic.
• Team player with excellent communication and results‑driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate early builds for engineering in support of validation.
• Manage inventory and coordinate Early Sample (ES) and pre-production (PP) builds in support of family rollout, stocking plans, and pre-production forecast.
• Monitor package test yields through statistical analysis.
• Work on enhancements to meet test goal targets.
• Manage production holds to enable customer shipments and revenue.
• Develop scripts to monitor yields, track builds and identify bottlenecks. Report status to rollout team.
