Job summary

VT Industries, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer I to drive manufacturing improvements, lead projects, and partner with production and maintenance to meet company goals. You will plan, install equipment, design and validate processes, calculate ROI, and monitor metrics with occasional travel between sites.

This hands-on role requires an engineering degree or equivalent experience, strong communication, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver safety, quality and productivity gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 7+ years in a technical role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hands-on with projects and able to drive strategic goals.
• Experience with manufacturing and assembly processes; wood industry experience preferred.
• Ability to manage projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
• Follow the Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy.

Responsibilities

• Research, justify, plan, purchase and coordinate installation of equipment.
• Coordinate design, development and validation of manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Support Production and maintenance operations.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in assigned area.
• Determine ROI for projects and communicate progress to teams.
• Maintain technical documentation for processes.
• Travel to other manufacturing sites as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
