Job summary

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Materials Science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with solid modeling tools (Pro/E) and FEA tools is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Knowledge of copper alloys and high-performance engineering thermoplastics would be a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical connectors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product quality and reliability; perform failure analysis.
• Integrate new technologies and cost initiatives into product designs.
• Manage product documentation at components and processes levels.
• Serve as customer focal point for technical product information and guidance.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing for prototypes and pilot production.
• Lead transition from NPI to volume manufacturing.
• Assist drafters and engineers with design tasks.
• Support design in tolerance analysis, FEA, and material evaluation.
• Participate in material identification and new manufacturing techniques.
• Participate in design reviews and testing; support product derivatives.
• Contribute to test plans for NPIs.
• Identify cost improvement and quality initiatives.
