Job summary

Google seeks an experienced Product Engineer to evaluate designs and establish processes, tools, and methods behind the robust infrastructure powering our platforms. You will align with suppliers to ensure repeatable manufacturing, and collaborate with the GME team to determine system requirements and product specs.

Your role supports production-scale items and ensures quality and reliability across Google's worldwide data center hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of product design experience for electronics.
• Experience with PCBA and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer product/test requirements for supporting items.
• Lead new product introduction within GME teams with objectives (features, FMEA, failure analysis).
• Support product or part capability works at CMs/JDMs.
• Drive plant preparation and provide product readiness.
• Coordinate incoming BOMs for ECOs/MCOs.
• Lead risk assessment for product changes and supply chain impacts.
• Collaborate with PQE to validate capability plans.
• Work with CM/ME/TQ to identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Monitor risk through change cycles.
• Drive scrap reduction and improve yield in manufacturing.
• Define and monitor product health metrics at CM/JDM.
