Job summary

White Recruitment Limited is seeking a hands-on Product Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in Spartanburg, SC. You will develop products from concept through design, testing and production, working with metal and plastic components and coordinating with engineering, manufacturing and external suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in product engineering or mechanical design.
• Strong CAD modelling and engineering drawing abilities.
• Knowledge of metal and/or plastic materials and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of design for manufacture and assembly.
• Good communication and collaboration with internal and external teams.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred with relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve products from initial concept through to production.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Design components and assemblies using metal and plastic materials.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost‑effective and suitable for production.
• Support prototyping, product testing, validation and design improvements.
• Liaise with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to support product development and production.
• Review product performance, identify design improvements and resolve technical issues.
• Work with internal teams to ensure products meet quality, performance and customer requirements.
